The Scouts who Lived

I posted a few days ago about a dead Scout. Of course he wasn't dead, but just asleep at one of the stops on the Chartres Pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage is just wonderful and bring out the best in people. You can see that here as one of our older Scouts, our teacher Mr Tyldesley, carried one of the weary little ones. It was just so wonderful. It is important that everyone does what one can, and them help other to do as much as they can, even to the point of fatigue.

Surely this is the Scouting Spirit.

The Australians welcomed us and we sang lustily with them.
